Poetry & Pasta

June 14, 2015

17 angels gathered at Chief Angel Randy Glynn's house for a pot-luck pasta and poetry evening;  several angels were recently returned from travels in Thailand, Turkey, and Ottawa and we had a visiting angel, theatre director Layne Coleman from Toronto.

Aside from good food and copious amounts of wine, we celebrated Randy's 65th birthday with cake, candles and a  rousing chorus of 'Happy Birthday to You'!

The poetry was funny, moving, sad, contemplative, and aside from spoken words,  grunted by Wayne and Terry (thanks to their grand daughter's first attempts at language).

We watched the video of DITTA in Etobicoke.... with rapt attention.  We picked out every little variation,  decided that nothing comes close to Phil's oboe, and that they did the piece proud!  I feel a little bit like a parent that has launched a kid into the world.
